Marietta Painting Contractor FAQs
Painters who give you a quote over the phone without meeting you or visiting your home should be avoided. This is very unprofessional. We do not give estimates over the phone. Many variables need to be taken into account when providing an accurate proposal. A Fresh Coat Of Marietta estimator will meet you in person, ask you specific questions about your project to gain a full understanding of your painting needs and then provide you with a written detailed proposal including our detailed preparation and painting procedure for a typical home. We provide each homeowner we meet a consultation with our written processes. This allows them to easily understand the cost of painting their home the type of materials used and compare our proposal with another proposal.
Yes. Getting the Certificate of Insurance directly from the contractor’s insurance agent will provide you with assurance that the coverage is current. In addition to registering with Georgia – painting contractors are required to adhere to the following guidelines:
- The painting contractor is required to maintain statutory IA Worker’s Compensation insurance.
- The painting contractor must carry at least $500,000 Liability insurance per incident in order to be registered with Georgia as a Home Improvement Contractor
- If the painting contractor utilizes sub-contractors – they all must also meet the same insurance requirements.
If a painting contractor is not able to produce the appropriate insurance documents, do not hire them, as you may be responsible for any iIAuries or other accidents that occur and be liable for medical expenses and loss of wages. (Call the insurance carriers to verify the policies are still in effect.)
Yes. Quality painting contractors have multiple references from past clients. We believe that a painting contractor should provide you with a list of at least 10 references – this prevents the contractor from giving you 3 or 4 “references” that are actually not real customer but friends or associates. Fresh Coat Of Marietta provides a list of more than 15 references you can call. If a contractor is unable or unwilling to provide at least 10 references that should be a warning sign. Fresh Coat Of Marietta House Painters will give you the choice to visit one of our job sites if you desire.
Yes. We will offer you a discount if you hire us to paint multiple properties and rooms at the same time. The amount of the discount will depend on how close together the projects are and how similar the rooms are to each other.
